IOWA G W T A DESTINATION FRIENDSHIP
Hello All:
Well the first year of our chapter came to close and we are ready to embark on new and more exciting year ahead. Just to give a few notes on the year past we started the Chapter between Jan. and Feb. 07 with some new friends help, since then we have grown to 12 memberships 19 members with more to come. Some of our members visited other events, fun runs etc. and it was just amazing how much enjoyment it was to be treated like part of a family. We drew up our own chapter patch thanks Kim, went to our first Gold Rush had our first chapter sponsored fun run. The year ended with our Christmas party and electing officers for the upcoming year most of the positions remained the same but do to my new job I felt like that I couldn’t give enough of my time to the chapter that was needed as Director so Jay Liniger was voted in as our new CD with Don Douthit remaining as ACD, Kim Douthit –Sect., Larry “Lucky” Branan –Tres. A big thanks to Kim the last year for keeping the notes and to all the members going out and recruiting new and Don for taking over in my absence. Jay with his wife Cheri will do a wonderful job you will keep hearing from me as I am the chapters internet guy (Oh help us). We are also plotting our next Fun Run and looking at the Nebraska GWTA event page on which chapter we can go invade and meet some new friends and see some of the past ones. As for the GWTA lookout Region C is out to improve even more.
